I'm Tony, and Ynot Renovate is me: a domestic electrician based in Hanham, NICEIC-registered, City & Guilds qualified, and a Which? Trusted Trader. Call me, email me, or send photos of the job, and you'll get a straight answer and a written price. The person who quotes your job is the person who does it and signs the certificate.
For homeowners, landlords and house buyers.
→Old fuse box out, modern protected board in.
→Full and partial, staged around lived-in homes.
→Tripping switches, dead sockets and flickering lights, diagnosed properly.
→Inside and out, planned before anything is cut.
→More sockets, better placed, and outdoor power too.
→Mains-wired and interlinked, right for rentals.
→A proper armoured supply, not an extension lead.
Every photo on this site is from a job I was on. There isn't a stock image anywhere here, and there never will be.
Uplights and postlights across the whole garden on one properly protected circuit — every zone dimmable from the phone.

Power dropping out for months. The culprit: a skirting-board nail fired straight through the cable. Repaired, tested, and the board labelled properly for the first time.
Fault finding →Real photos from real jobs — the good work and the worst of what I've found behind faceplates. Tap any photo for a closer look.

Send the job with a photo or two for a straight answer and a written price — or call and talk it through.
My reviews live on Which? Trusted Traders, where every review is checked to confirm it came from a genuine customer. A few, in their own words:
Tony is reliable, professional, and delivers exactly what he says he will. The only thing that was different between the quote and invoice was the price; he automatically submitted a smaller invoice as I am guessing the job was easier than expected.Customer in South Gloucestershire, via Which? Tony was really helpful, friendly and a professional service. Explained everything in a way I could understand. Left everything clean and tidy and a fantastic job done, at a great price.Customer in Bath and North East Somerset, via Which? Trusted Traders, July 2026
Tony checked our electrics, which unfortunately turned out to be well past their sell by date, requiring a full rewiring of the house whilst we lived in the house! […] Communication and advice was great, and would recommend him highly.Customer in South Gloucestershire, via Which? Trusted Traders, March 2025
Most trades won't put a number on anything until they're in your kitchen. I publish the ranges I actually work to, and the guides explain what moves a job up or down inside them, so you know roughly where you stand before you've picked up the phone. The exact price is always confirmed in writing after I've seen the job.
I'm based in Hanham, on the east side of Bristol, so Kingswood, Longwell Green, Warmley, St George, Brislington, Fishponds, Downend, Mangotsfield, Emersons Green and Keynsham are all home turf. The whole of Bristol is covered, and I also work further out: Bath, Yate and Chipping Sodbury, and Thornbury regularly, and most places within reach of them. If you're not sure, ask. The worst I'll say is that you're a bit far.
Me, every time. When you book Ynot Renovate you deal with the same person from the first phone call to the signed certificate. I'm registered with the NICEIC as a Domestic Installer (registration D605692), so notifiable work is certified and notified to Building Control through my own registration, with the NICEIC's Platinum Promise behind it.
You can check my registration on the NICEIC register and read my reviews on Which? before I set foot in your house, and I'd encourage you to.
A look at the sort of job I do week in, week out — filmed on site, not in a studio. If you'd rather read than watch, the photos above are all from my own jobs too.

Use the form — photos of the fuse board, the room, the problem often get you a price without a visit, and when a job needs eyes on it, I'll come and look. Prefer to talk? Call or email any time.
