About this service →Electrician covering Bath from nearby Hanham. Georgian and listed-property experience with EICRs, rewires and fault finding.
I'm based in Hanham, which puts Bath twenty-odd minutes down the A4 through Keynsham and Saltford, close enough that Bath jobs are routine rather than an expedition, and the quote you get says so: no travel premium for normal work, and the minimum-visit threshold for small jobs stated up front rather than sprung.
Old rewireable board out, full RCBO protection in, everything labelled and certified.

Lighting positions planned with the customer before a single cable went in the trench.

Two C2s found at a landlord inspection; both remedied and a satisfactory report issued five days later.
About this service →Bath is the city where the walls push back. Georgian and Victorian terraces in Bath stone mean solid masonry that chases slowly and deserves better than trunking slapped across original plasterwork; multi-storey townhouses long since converted to flats, with communal supplies, meter cupboards of archaeological interest, and earthing arrangements from several different decades sharing one building; and a listed-building density like nowhere else in the region, where alterations that affect the building's character can need listed building consent before anyone cuts a chase, so the routing conversation happens with the paperwork in mind, not after it. The practical consequences: surface-run and cellar/void routing gets planned where cutting original fabric is off the table, EICRs on converted buildings take the time their circuit-archaeology demands, and "we'll just chase it in" is a sentence you should distrust from anyone quoting a listed Bath property unseen.
EICRs for the city's enormous stock of period conversions and rentals · full and partial rewires where the originals have finally aged out · fault finding, because old installations fail interestingly · consumer unit upgrades, the highest-value single improvement most period houses can make.
Not for normal-sized work; Bath is inside my everyday patch. Very small jobs anywhere carry the same minimum-visit price, which the quote states before you book.
Yes, and the honest answer includes the caveat: works affecting a listed building's character can require consent, so routes and methods get chosen with that in mind, and where consent questions arise they're flagged to you before work, not discovered after. Sympathetic routing usually solves what chasing would have spoiled.
Daily, they're literally on the route. Keynsham sits in my home patch and Saltford jobs pair neatly with Bath runs, which sometimes makes shared scheduling cheaper for both.

Everything below is available here on the same terms as everywhere else I work: a written price before any work starts, and the person who quotes it does it.

My reviews live on Which? Trusted Traders, where every review is checked to confirm it came from a genuine customer. A few, in their own words:
Tony is reliable, professional, and delivers exactly what he says he will. The only thing that was different between the quote and invoice was the price; he automatically submitted a smaller invoice as I am guessing the job was easier than expected.Customer in South Gloucestershire, via Which? Tony was really helpful, friendly and a professional service. Explained everything in a way I could understand. Left everything clean and tidy and a fantastic job done, at a great price.Customer in Bath and North East Somerset, via Which? Trusted Traders, July 2026
Tony checked our electrics, which unfortunately turned out to be well past their sell by date, requiring a full rewiring of the house whilst we lived in the house! […] Communication and advice was great, and would recommend him highly.Customer in South Gloucestershire, via Which? Trusted Traders, March 2025
